Company History

Marley D. Martin founded International Line Builders, Inc. and Highline Equipment Company in 1983.

In 1997 MDU Resources Group, Inc., a utility company and energy provider based in Bismarck, ND, bought ILB and Highline Equipment from Marley and made International Line Builders the flagship company of its new business group, MDU Construction Services Group, Inc.

Since that time, MDU-CSG has added several electric utility infrastructure support, construction, repair and maintenance contracting companies to its family and now conducts business in the Midwest and Western United States. Presently, ILB is one of 18 companies that make up MDU Construction Services Group, Inc. We are currently licensed to provide power line construction, maintenance, and repair services in all States west of the Mississippi.
